The 2017 Honda Fit comes standard with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. The two lower trims come with a six-speed manual transmission, but a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is available if you prefer. The two higher trims come standard with the CVT. The Honda Fit accelerates extremely well, making it a fun car to drive. In fact, per Edmunds testing, the EX-L with Navi trim accelerated from zero to 60 mph in 8.8 seconds. That is faster than most subcompacts in its class. To make the driving experience even more vigorous, the CVT-equipped Fit includes paddle shifters on the steering wheel for more control. Design of Honda Fit

These seats are found in the rear, and both seat cushions can be flipped up so that tall cargo items can be stored right behind the front seats. When both seat cushions are flipped up, a bicycle with the front tire removed, can be stored in this space. That is pretty amazing for a subcompact vehicle! Another option is to fold the rear seats down, which collapse completely flush with the rear cargo area, creating a flat storage space for longer items. Because the rear seats split in a 60/40 configuration, you can simultaneously seat a passenger in the rear while storing longer cargo items, such as skis, with one seat folded down. Finally, the front passenger seat can recline flat (with headrest removed). With the front seat flat and the rear seats folded down, the Fit can accommodate items nearly eight feet long from front to back. With both rear seats folded down, the Fit offers 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Other interior highlights of the Fit include its technology. The higher trims offer a 7-inch touchscreen with pinch and swipe functions. Honda's smartphone integration system, HondaLink, adds apps such as iHeartRadio, and it also allows you to search for points-of-interest such as restaurants, service stations, and more. The highest trim adds navigation with voice recognition along with HD and satellite radio.
