2019 Honda Passport vs 2019 Chevrolet BlazerThe best thing about SUVs is the fact that they truly are the most versatile vehicles around. However, that is also something that makes choosing the perfect SUV difficult and stressful. We're here to help you narrow down your options by choosing the two top SUVs and comparing them against one another. Today we'll be looking at the 2019 Honda Passport and the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. The Passport is a brand new vehicle to the Honda lineup, and features clever storage compartments, enhanced off-roading abilities, and a spacious interior with plenty of space for passengers. The Chevrolet Blazer has made its comeback in 2019, with five-passenger seating, a standard 4-cylinder engine, and a refined ride quality. Which one is better? Keep reading down below to find out which of these two SUVs you should be driving home! | |
2019 Honda Passport Power & HandlingOne standard and powerful engine helps to give the 2019 Passport an edge. That engine is a 3.5-liter V6, which can pump out 262 pound-feet of torque and 280 horsepower. Matched with this engine is front-wheel drive on the first three trim options, and all-wheel drive on the higher trim. You'll also be getting a nine-speed automatic transmission to finish the entire system off. This configuration allows the Passport to handle bad weather conditions, off-roading environments, and the regular commute to work, with ease. It's also nice that the standard engine is a V6 engine, and not a 4-cylinder. | 2019 Chevrolet Blazer Power & HandlingAlthough there are two available engines with the 2019 Blazer, the base engine is a fairly weak 2.5-liter inline-4. This engine can create 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque, with front-wheel drive as standard. The more impressive engine is an optional 3.6-liter V6, which creates 270 pound-feet of torque and 308 horsepower. This engine can also work with all-wheel drive, if you opt for it. Both engines get a nine-speed automatic transmission, which we can't complain about. Still, the fact that the V6 engine is only optional is incredibly disappointing, and holds the Blazer back. |
