What size touchscreen is available on the 2022 Civic?

The 2022 Civic offers straight lines dominating the airy cockpit, which offers an excellent outward view. The updated all-digital instrument panel is now a 10.2-inch LCD screen that is fully customizable. Drivers can customize it to show everything from the current music selection to the driver-assist systems. The honeycomb metal mesh strip that spans the width of the dash offers an understated but handsome interior. This honeycomb line provides a dividing line for the audio, information displays, and climate controls. Honda also used it to conceal the air vents that would otherwise jumble the dash. The seats of the Civic seats were created from a new-generation frame that provides plenty of support while enhancing occupant comfort on long drives. The all-new Civic comes with the largest standard touchscreen, a massive 7-inches, or you can upgrade to an even bigger 9-inch screen. Honda wanted to keep some old-school features, so they kept the volume knob and a tuning knob. They also gave the Civic a row of buttons across the bottom that allow you to control your music or select either the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, whichever you prefer. The Bose Premium sound system will blast your playlists on its 12 speakers and an 8-inch subwoofer.

How many engines are available on the 2022 Honda Civic?

The 2022 Honda Civic offers buyers two engines, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, and a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder. Honda's 2.0L engine provides 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. New for 2022 is the turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder that delivers an impressive 180 horsepower and a substantial 177 lb-ft torque. Whichever engine you choose, you will get Honda's excellent continuously variable automatic transmission. However, the CVT in the Sport and Touring models is equipped with a larger torque converter to handle the additional torque better.

What type of safety features are offered on the Honda Civic?

Honda loaded the 2022 Civic with safety and security features even in the entry-level models. The Collision Mitigation Braking System uses sensors at the front of your Civic to look for upcoming traffic or pedestrians. If a collision is impending, it will apply brake pressure to help you avoid a car crash. Honda's Lane Keeping Assist System is also available on the 2022 Civic. This system is commonly referred to as LKAS and helps to improve your long highway rides. The system uses a windshield-mounted camera that will detect the lane markings on a highway, while the Electric Power Steering (EPS) will help guide your vehicle to the middle of a detected lane. If LKAS senses your vehicle is drifting out of its lane, you will receive a visual alert on the instrument panel and subtle steering correction.
